FAU stands with KNU and Ukraine

On October 10 and 11, 2022, multiple Russian missile attacks covered all of Ukraine damaging and destroying civil infrastructure. The prominent red building, the university library, and the Institute of Philology of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv (KNU) were among the university structures that have been damaged by Russian missiles. Walls and ceilings had to be secured by university members, and window panes were broken. Fortunately, no person on campus was injured. However, this war claims lives every day – October 10 and 11 have been no exception.

FAU strongly condemns the Russian attacks on Ukrainian civil infrastructure and Russian war crimes. Our thoughts are with the students, scholars and staff of KNU as well as the Ukrainian people suffering from this unnecessary war. FAU is standing with our partner university and with the Ukrainian people.
