The Nuremberg Moot Court is organised each year by the International Nuremberg Principles Academy and the International Criminal Law Research Unit at the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg. The Nuremberg Moot Court 2024 will be held in-person in Nuremberg, Germany from 24 to 27 July 2024. The final round will take place in the historic Courtroom 600 in the Nuremberg Palace of Justice. University teams from all over the world are invited to argue a fictitious case before the “International Criminal Court”.

A moot court is a simulated court proceeding which invites students of law to compete based on their oral and written legal argumentation and presentation, from both the prosecution and defence positions. Dissecting complex procedural and substantive issues of international criminal law, students are given the unique opportunity to develop their lawyering skills and plead before a bench of “judges” comprised of highly esteemed professionals, such as national and international judges, academics and other legal practitioners.

Teams may apply for the Nuremberg Moot Court 2024 from 4 December 2023 to 22 January 2024.

More information and an application form can be found here. We invite all those interested to apply and kindly ask first of all to familiarize yourself with the Rules Nuremberg Moot Court 2024.
