Under the auspices of the KNU-FAU Alliance and with the support of the DAAD, Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg will host the second Summer School for 12 KNU students and 12 FAU and EELISA students (Bachelor, Master) in Erlangen and Nuremberg, Germany. You can find more information about the KNU-FAU Summer School 2023 here.

In the framework of the KNU-FAU Summer School “State Building in (Post)War Reality”, students will have an opportunity to be engaged in an interdisciplinary scientific dialogue with both German and Ukrainian academics, experts, politicians, and representatives of civil society. Each day will be under the umbrella of a specific thematic focus (e.g. democratization processes, human rights protection, civil society development in times of war, etc.). Moreover, Summer School attendees will have the opportunity to visit Nuremberg, the Nuremberg Trials Memorium, and the Human Rights Street to gain a deeper understanding of the topic.

Participation in the Summer School is free of charge for all KNU, FAU, and EELISA students. For KNU students, a mobility grant and a subsistence grant can be provided by the funding of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). For EELISA participants, travel and accommodation may be supported by your EELISA institution (please contact your local EELISA project coordinator beforehand).
